B.M. Dooney Farms Live Hive Program is put on by the owners, husband & wife beekeepers Arden Haynes & Marnie Erin.  Children will safely examine the inner workings of a LIVE honeybee colony through a window into the beehive.  This program will provide participants the opportunity to taste raw local honey, followed by a beehive painting activity using non-toxic washable paints to allow students to express their artistic creativity.  All painted beehives will be displayed in an ongoing Community Beehive Art Project that features decorated beehives from the SLC community.  Beehive art can be viewed in the apiaries managed by B.M. Dooney Farms located in Colton, Potsdam, and Canton.
