Virtual Reality Showcase: Everything from Here to Infinity. Join Clarkson Professor and Digital Artist Alex Lee. He utilizes the data produced by the most comprehensive survey of the known universe, The Sloan Digital Sky Survey, and visualizes it as virtual abstract expressionist brush strokes. Lee invites viewers to tour the known universe with a heightened sense of presence wearing the virtual reality headset. Headsets will be for visitors 7 years and older. Younger children can manipulate the virtual reality experience with a joy stick on a large screen. Alex utilizes 3D animation, video game engines, virtual/augmented/immersive reality platforms, machine learning and the potential of simulation technologies in order to investigate technical images from concepts within science, science fiction, and physics.
