Adirondack Waterplay

Go with the flow at the Adirondack Water Play exhibit to explore the North Country’s river-based eco-systems and hydropower dams. Steer a boat down the Raquette River by creating rapids and directing currents in our interactive water flow or tour Blue Mountain Lake using mini-blowers to navigate sailboats. As the Raquette River spills into the St. Lawrence River, the exhibit features a lower-level water pool where younger visitors can get their hands wet with a dam that simulates hydropower and spillways. Environmental stewardship, local pride, and splish-splashy fun combine to make Adirondack Water Play an educational, ecological, exciting ride down the Raquette River.
