Bones & Fossils Afterschool Club for Grades 1 -4
Interested in what makes us human? Curious about the bones under your skin? Wonder how you are related to chimpanzees? In this workshop children will learn about bone, how fossils are made, and will come face to face with some of their ancient human ancestors. At the end of the workshop children will take part in a model excavation, where they will learn how scientists investigate our past through the recovery and analysis of material culture. Children will work alongside St. Lawrence University Department of Anthropology students, faculty, and NCCM science educators. Bring your pith helmets, strong hands, and a sense of adventure!
This is a drop-off program for seven Wednesdays from 3:30pm – 4:30pm. The program cost is $75. NCCM Members get a 10% discount.
