Located in the heart of historic downtown Potsdam, the North Country Children’s Museum offers interactive, STEAM-focused exhibits and programs designed for kids and families.

School Groups: $8/student for groups of 10 or more

Children 12 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Parents/caregivers must supervise their children.

Our big red barn is located directly behind Market Street. The museum has free parking and is a short walk to downtown shops and restaurants.

Can I schedule a birthday party?

Yes.

Our party package includes admission to the museum for your guests, private access to our program room, and party games led by museum staff.

Is there an entrance fee for children and adults?

Yes.

Admission is $10 for each adult and child 12 months & older.

Members and children under 12 months and younger are not charged an entrance fee.

What are the different kinds of membership?

We offer two different membership levels.

Family Membership admits 2 adults and all children living in the same household.
Family Plus Membership admits 2 adults and all children living in the same household, plus 2 additional adults.

Annual members enjoy free admission, and a 10% discount on camps, classes, and birthday parties.

Do you have gift cards?

Yes.

Give the gift of a museum membership or choose a dollar amount that works for you. Gift cards can be used towards admission, camp and class fees, or in our gift shop. Contact us to order or purchase a gift card at the front desk.

How much are field trips?

Student groups of 10 or more receive a discounted admission rate of $8 per student, with 1 free chaperone per 10 students.

Trips are available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday from 10am to 3pm. Field trips include museum admission and a special hands-on program run by our professional educators.
