Come one and all, hop over the hall! Join us at the North Country Children’s Museum for free creative drama, arts, and movement workshops to develop Toad Hall, a brand new play for children under 5 years old that celebrates community at a fabulously fun dinner party with a family of toads.
Kerfuffle, a midwestern theatre and dance company for the very young, develops all of their work in direct partnership with children to better understand what engages, interests and delights them. Workshop participants will help form ideas, characters and sound design for the environment of the play through creative drama activities and songs. Children will use their bodies, voices and simple musical instruments to explore the soundscape of the Toad Family dinner party.
Participants may attend one or both workshops. SUNY Potsdam student artists will share parts of the play with workshop participants at the April 10 workshop.
Toad Hall performs at LoKo Arts Festival at SUNY Potsdam at 2:00pm on April 29, 30 and May 1.
