Hands-on, eyes-on, noses-on, mouths-on, minds-on: If you combine science with a soda bottle, what do you get? Two liter soda pop bottles orbiting Earth with NASA, might be one result. But did you know you can use bottles to create an ecosystem, explore the concept of niche, and model a lakeshore? In this workshop, we will explore ways you can use recyclable containers (bring your own 2-liter empty soda bottle with cap) to learn about science and the environment. You will bring a clear, clean, empty (labels removed) plastic soda bottle with its plastic cap and we will provide the rest, so you will bring home your own living and breathing ecosystem! To learn how to prepare your empty bottle for this workshop, please visit: http://www.bottlebiology.org/basics/. Taught by Dr. Cintia Hongay of Clarkson University.
