This sensory hands-on workshop involves mixing and molding as you play with a slime recipe! Jack Frost's recipe is of course icey! It is so cold it crunches, just like the frosty snow beneath your feet this time of year.

Painting with Rice

Learn a fun, new, tactile way to create wonderful works of art. Children will use different colored rice to create vibrant masterpieces that they can take home afterwards.

Rubberband Cars

In this workshop children will build their own cars that use rubberbands as a motor. They will learn about energy conversion, forces of motion, and basic car design and engineering.

What’s the Buzz about the Bubble Bee?

Learn about the importance of the bubble bee. You may be amazed by how much impact the bubble bee has on your life! During this craft project you will create a sculpture of a beehive using recycled egg cartoons and tiny bees to put in your hive. Don't forget the golden dripping honey!

Bubble Wrap Beehives

Come make bubble wrap prints with yellow paint to create your very own beehive. Use your thumb prints to make bees surrounding the hive. Don't forget your golden honey drips!

Bath Bombs

Using everyday materials and some simple chemistry, children will make their own aromatic fizzing bath bomb. They are safe and dissolvable, make great gifts, and turn bath time into a relaxing soak in the wonders of science.

Oversized Origami

Come learn about the Japanese art of folding paper! You will be introduced to the work of Robert Lang (a NASA Physicist) who uses math and folding paper to create amazing inventions! You will then create your own piece of oversized origami.

Reptiles Alive! After School Club

8 week after school club for grades 1 - 4. Each session will focus on a different reptile that the kids will have a chance to meet and hold. SUNY Potsdam biology students will be on-hand to help guide kids through the amazing world of these cold-blooded creatures. Parents drop-off and pick up.
