Children's Museum Creepy Science led by Clarkson University’s TriBeta Biology Honor Society

In this class, preschoolers will explore geology, physics, and biology through age-appropriate, simple, hands-on experiments. Your little stargazers will reach out into the cosmos, put on a lab coat to mix fizzing chemicals into colorful concoctions, and plant the seeds of understanding in our natural world!

In this after-school class, students will gain a multi-layered understanding of Geology, Geography, Paleontology, and everything else rock-based! We’ll learn how crystals and fossils form, what’s happening in the center of the earth, the magic behind the decay transformation of minerals, and so much more!

Let your child explore the world of clay. Children will have the opportunity to hand build projects, visit a real pottery studio, and learn about the glazing and firing processes. They will also be able to experience how clay is ‘thrown’ on a pottery wheel. Class taught by Third Wheel Pottery Studio Artist Robin Wolpin.

Join us as we explore the exciting world of Dramatic Play!  Using our imaginations and creativity, we will be creating scenarios and play themes that will encourage thinking outside of the box.  Designed to encourage group play, language development, and reinforce practical skills such as sorting, rearranging, negotiation, sharing, and taking turns.

In this class, we’ll be serving up different experiments with ingredients and tools found in the kitchen!  We’ll safely explore the chemical and physical changes that happen to your favorite foods and snacks. Feast on the wonders of science as we learn the chemistry behind home kitchen crafts.
